Help around the home and a life support system for people in crisis

We ease the strains on the family housing budget by providing assistance with monthly bills and repairs, and by converting drafty, inefficient dwellings into warm, energy-conserving money savers. We’re also a life support system, helping to prevent homelessness and providing basic human needs for families going through difficult times, as well as those who can’t stretch their own resources any further.

Appliance Management Program

The Appliance Management Program, funded by National Grid, provides low income customers with a comprehensive home energy audit designed to identify ways to reduce electric consumption and associated costs.  The audit will include a visit to your home by a trained Energy Manager who will determine the usage of your major appliances and other electrical devices.

From this the Energy Manager will advise on ways that devices can be managed to reduce consumption.  That audit may also include the provision of energy saving products including: LED light bulbs, Energy Star refrigerators and freezers, Energy Star air conditioners, smart power strips, water saving shower heads and faucet aerators, intermatic timers, and waterbed mattress replacement.

This program is available to National Grid customers in Johnston, Smithfield, North Providence, Burrillville and Glocester.
